Finland remains among top nations in PISA education survey
Since the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) began in 2000, Finnish 15-year-olds have consistently done well. In the results released in December 2019, Finland lives up to its reputation, and also seems to show a good balance between academic achievement and life outside of school.
“Equality Now” receives International Gender Equality Prize in Tampere, Finland
Originally established by the Finnish government in 2017, the year the country celebrated the 100th anniversary of its independence, the International Gender Equality Prize promotes equality on a global scale.
In sports circles, equality has recently been getting more of the interest it deserves. Trending topics include equal compensation for women’s national teams, acceptance of sexual minorities in pro sports, and sportspeople with disabilities.
