Finnish arts education inspires action all over the Arctic

This year Helsinki Design Week is looking for questions and answers, and has named its theme accordingly: Q&A. The annual design festival takes over the Finnish capital from September 7 to 17, 2017.
Scandinavia House in New York formed the starting point for a show of four Finnish painters, all of them women, whose careers coincided with cultural and political transformations. The paintings later continued to Stockholm, and subsequently returned to Helsinki as part of a larger exhibition.
The compelling visuality and strong sense of physical presence captivates audiences and makes circus art from Finland powerful, unique and recognisable.
