Writer inspires not one, but two statues in the Finnish capital
Author and academic Zacharias Topelius is remembered for his poetry, prose and children’s stories. The year 2018 marks the 200th anniversary of his birth.
This year Helsinki Design Week is looking for questions and answers, and has named its theme accordingly: Q&A. The annual design festival takes over the Finnish capital from September 7 to 17, 2017.
Violinist Kreeta-Maria Kentala combines classical violin and folk fiddling on her solo album Side by Side (Alba Records, 2016). The album has won several prizes in Finland including the Classical Emma or “Finnish Grammy”.
