Lux Helsinki’s urban light installations illuminate the dark of winter each January. Our photographers took to the streets and returned with a colourful slideshow.
The 2013 edition of Lux Helsinki, the fifth time the event has been held, also included more sound than ever before. A total of 13 different installations lit up the city in early January. Finnish artists were joined by colleagues from France, Germany, Hong Kong and the UK in creating installations that attracted more than 100,000 tourists and Helsinkians to explore the city from new points of view despite the cold weather.
