Kiilopää is a fell about 250 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle. It is one of the highest summits in the Saariselkä region, rising some 546 meters above sea level. For backpackers and skiers, the accommodation, hiking and restaurant facilities of the Fell Centre Kiilopää serve as an ideal base.
From the summit of Kiilopää, a spectacular scenery opens up to the Urho Kekkonen National Park and its wilderness, the Saariselkä ski resort and as far as to Russia. Climbing on top of the fell, you may meet a grouse, a lemming or a reindeer. The summit is treeless and barren tundra.
